Can a Robot with DC Servos be powered by Renewable Energy created by PV and or Wind Turbines? If so, does the operational capacity drop, compared to AC Servos? I have an around the clock, "lights out" application with a duty cycle of 20%. If I could operate this off the grid, it would be a positive factor for the end users.

Is it possible to implement an automated assembly line for kitchen cabinets? The parts are made with CNC Nested Based manufacturing process. If the parts are sorted, can robots be used for final assembly? Height, Width and Depth dimensions change depending on the cabinet. I'm guessing some kind of cell with sensors would be needed?

We have a NDC Automation Inc. OP7 Operator Terminal on one of our AGV's that is locked up and will not let us check error codes for troubleshooting purposes. Can it be reset or can you give us any ideas to troubleshoot? Do you sell replacement units or can this be repaired? Thanks in advance for your help. Outdoor art project, looking for laserscanner: Can you recommend models of laserscanners that can be used to track people in a park? I wish it to view in at least 180 degrees, not to be harmful for the eyes, and durable or inexpensive so it can be mounted in temperatures -10 to 30 degrees Celcius.

I recently bought my first robot; an ArcMate 100i w/RJ2 controller on ebay. As you can imagine, I am engaged in a very exciting learning curve. I plan to use the robot in a JIT mode by building an extensive library system and cut parts with a plasma torch. I have narrowed it down to SolidWorks and RobotWorks for simulation and OLP. Is that the way to go in this price range?

I need a 2 jaw robot gripper to pick and place a 20mm x 20mm x 30mm piece of aluminium. It will be fitted to a vs series denso six axis robot. We need an alternative way of viewing the path of the paint robot in our paint booth. We view now through the window of the paint booth, which is not good enough. We have interlocks on the paint booth, but we need to get the into paint booth to view the spray path of the robot. There is room behind the robots to view. We are reviewing numerous guarding methods. We do have hard pins on the robots. What method do you suggest?
