Can a Robot with DC Servos be powered by Renewable Energy created by PV and or Wind Turbines? If so, does the operational capacity drop, compared to AC Servos? I have an around the clock, "lights out" application with a duty cycle of 20%. If I could operate this off the grid, it would be a positive factor for the end users.

Older robots such the PUMA series has DC servo motors, but the controllers that powered the servos were always AC not DC. As long as the power is steady and clean the source does not matter.
