DC Brushed Motors

A DC brushed motor is an internally commutated electric motor that runs on a direct power source. You can increase or decrease the speed of your DC brushed motor by changing the operating voltage or the strength of the magnetic field. Depending on the connections of the field to the power supply, you can also adjust the torque of a DC brushed motor by adjusting the connections of the field to the power supply.

DC brushed motors typically provide more power than AC motors and flat torque over a wider speed range. These motors offer simple and easy-to-use speed control with a low up-front cost.
