Bob McCurrach has over 25 years of experience in the manufacturing and product development sector, with a focus on global engineering management, strategic program, and process management, primarily for the nuclear, defense, and automotive industries. He holds a BS in mechanical engineering from Lehigh University as well as an MBA from Georgia Institute of Technology. Bob joined the Association for Advancing Automation (A3) in 2011 as their director of standards development for vision & imaging. He has been a key leader in A3’s standards development and coordination of vision standard development globally. Standards play a key role in the vision & imaging industry by ensuring interoperability of components, increasing market size, and shortening the time it takes to get new products to market. Martin Schwarzbauer: Manager R&D Camera Systems – Interface Specialist, Excelitas PCO GmbH. Martin leads the R&D Camera Systems team at Excelitas PCO GmbH, which is focused on hardware and firmware development. He has almost two decades of experience as R&D engineer for high-performance camera systems. Martin is a member of the Camera Link HS standardization committee since it was established in 2010 and took over the chair position this year. He has earned his diploma and master’s degree in electrical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences Regensburg, Germany. Eric Bourbonnais: Program Manager, Teledyne Dalsa. Eric Bourbonnais is a program manager at Teledyne DALSA, a world leader in digital imaging components, software and sub-systems. With over 20 years of experience as a software programmer and technical leader, Eric is responsible for the development of 2D cameras destined for the machine vision market. He has made significant contributions to the development of machine vision standards over the past 14 years as a participant in the G3 Initiative, an international consortium of organizations leading the field of machine vision. In this forum, Eric focused his efforts on GenICam and GigE Vision. Since 2017, Eric has served as Chairman of the GigE Vision committee. Uwe Hagmaier: Vice President Product Development Vision, Balluff MV GmbH. Uwe leads the R&D for vision products at Balluff MV GmbH. Balluff MV develops and produces industrial cameras and smart vision products. He has more than three decades of experience as an R&D engineer, team leader, product owner, and VP for industrial vision systems, including HW-design, FPGA-design, and SW-engineering. Uwe was a founding member and vice chair of the USB3 Vision technical committee since it was established and took over the chair position this year. He earned his diploma degree in electrical engineering at the University of Applied Sciences in Heilbronn, Germany.
