Yes, we have done robotic welding (and plasma cutting) of augers on several occasions. There are several variables we can discuss including welding power supply, material type and thickness, ID/OD of the auger and post, pitch distance vs continous flight, etc. Take a look at www.motoman.com for examples of our wedling robots and cells - especially at the AW6000 series.
